Looking to the future
Suspended 6 metres above the water like a mythical creature, the visionary 1,700 m˛ Overwater Conference Centre was designed by Studio Stefano Boeri Architetti for the G8 Summit in 2009. Converted from the former military arsenal, the Centre boasts 5 meeting rooms with seating for up to 350 people. There is also an additional suite, the Exhibition Hall, with tiered seating for 1,000 delegates. All the rooms offer cutting-edge technology and audio-visual systems plus an outstanding catering service.
The incredible flexibility of the Conference Centre helps make every event exceptional, whatever your requirements: from international regattas (La Maddalena Hotel & Yacht Club hosted the Louis Vuitton Trophy in 2010) to conferences and product launches.
The Conference Centre’s team are on hand to personalise every event. The stunning La Maddalena Hotel & Yacht Club, its Spa and the wonders of the world’s most unique Archipelago help make every occasion an unforgettable success.
Sea glass
It shines like a prism, suspended above the sea. The stunning Overwater Conference Centre was designed by Studio Stefano Boeri Architetti and built from eye-catching ultra-light glass. The 1,700 m˛ building boasts 5 meeting rooms. Geometrical Murano glass sun-screens, exceptionally wide windows and a see-through lift exude all the energy of a futuristic journey. The colours of the sky and sea, which fill the rooms at all times of the day, bring us firmly back down to earth.
The Capi di Stato (Heads of State) Room and additional suites (Caprera, Santo Stefano and La Maddalena) are fitted out with cutting-edge technology, from audio-video links to Wi-Fi connections. The rooms can be lit or darkened using touch-screen controls.
This suite inside the imposing Arsenale building can be adapted to meet any requirement, with the emphasis on freedom of choice.
